Campaign design for ‘Save Siolim’ a citizen’s campaign

A movement sparked by the indiscriminate, illegal chopping down of century old trees that expanded to protecting all local ecology. The campaign features information sharing on social media, photography and interviews.

With on-ground protests garnering more local support, social media reached further afield to connect and collaborate with other such movements

While the protests can shed light on illegal actions already taken place, this type of information sharing was put in place to prevent future destruction.

Documenting the movement

Photography was crucial as it helped local media outlets pick up the story and for it to reach citizens that were not neccesarily on social media

How-to guides
A part of the campaign also included ‘how-to’ guides. A short version was on social media with links to download the full form information

Citizen stories

The campaign included photo stories and write ups about the key faces behind the movement. It told their story, and showcased different perspectives of why a citizen may want to fight for this

Collaborations
